70's - 90's

One of the most unique

forms of art has to be the cartoon image. Borders do not seem to exist on actually what it is. A cartoon can have a flat 'funny paper' look, or a 'caricature' can be grossly distorted yet very real in appearance. An advanced form of cartooning is the 'comic book' or 'action comics'; a merge with illustration. Political cartoons can look very dark, but also very human. The 'blending' of the genre is truly a broad arena, even posing a challenge to myself, as to attempt to make the decision as to which of my drawings will be displayed on the illustration page, or the cartoon collection. I possess cartoon drawings from when I was 7 years old, possibly before I possessed the consciousness that I was creating them.
